Event Name: Tommy Thompson Park Butterfly Festival

Description: Between August and November each year, Monarch Butterflies migrate over 3,500 kilometres from Canada to Mexico where they spend the winter. This incredible migration begins with the congregation of Monarchs at places like Tommy Thompson Park (TTP). Join us at TTP as we celebrate this incredible phenomenon at the second annual Butterfly Festival. Children, families and nature lovers alike can participate in hikes, butterfly tagging, wildflower planting, and more!

Event Name: Caring for your Trees and Shrubs

Description: Fall is a great time to conduct annual maintenance on trees and shrubs, and to add new ones to your garden. When cared for properly, trees and shrubs will flourish for many years, adding beauty to the landscape, providing shade, creating habitat, and sometimes even supplying us with fruit. Come to this FREE workshop to hear expert advice on planting, pruning, watering and feeding fruit and shade trees, as well as shrubs.
